I will use Permatex Gasket Cement to glue the gaskets to the windage tray, and then use something else between the pan and the tray, and the tray and the block. I was going to use The Right Stuff as the "something else." Problem is, it sets up fast, maybe 5-7 minutes.

WebFeb 9, 2006 · I used the brown Permatex aviation gasket cement. It looks like there might be a little oil seepage where the spaghetti seal meets the O ring on the prop shaft seal carrier. Make sure mating surfaces on either side of the gasket is clean, dry and degreased using brake-cleaner etc. Torque down bolts in proper sequence and you will be golden. I much prefer solid flat gaskets like this instead of silicone. It makes taking the pan off next time much easier.
